If you love fake dating, meddling aunties, and a romance so sweet it’ll make you believe in fate (and possibly family curses), then buckle up because Yin Yang Love Song is about to steal your heart—and maybe break it a little, too.
💡 Spoiler alert: The fake part of this relationship doesn’t last long.
A Fake Relationship, A Family Curse & One Very Questionable Plan 🎭💋
Dr. Chryssy Hua Williams does not believe in her family’s legendary curse… until Break-Up #9 makes her start reevaluating some things. So, instead of trying (and failing) at romance, she and her meddlesome yet loveable aunties decide to profit off heartbreak by running a retreat for the broken-hearted. (Honestly? Genius business model.)
Enter Vin Chao, a scandal-ridden celebrity cellist with a PR problem and an offer she can’t refuse. His idea? They fake-date, he publicly “breaks” her heart (for the media, of course), and they both walk away winners. Chrissy gets a free promo for her retreat, and Vin gets an image overhaul.
What could possibly go wrong? (Everything. Everything could go wrong.)
The Audiobook: A Perfect Harmony of Narration 🎧🔥
Eunice Wong and Eric Yang? Absolute GOLD. The dual narration takes this book from fun to full-on rom-com magic.
🎙️ Eunice Wong nails Chryssy’s whole “I’m over love but also maybe catching feelings” energy. You can hear her internal struggle in every line.
🎶 Eric Yang’s Vin is smooth, charming, and just cocky enough to make you fall for him (and then want to slap him… in a loving way).
And the banter? The tension? The chemistry? Absolute perfection. Do yourself a favor and listen with headphones—you’re gonna be giggling and swooning in public.
What I Loved (and What Had Me Side-Eyeing the Universe Like Chryssy’s Aunties) 💭
✔️ Fake dating that gets out of hand—FAST. We love a plan that completely backfires in the best way.
✔️ Vin’s journey from “hot mess” to “soft-hearted disaster man who just wants love.”
✔️ The aunties stirring up drama like it’s their full-time job. (Honestly, they deserve their own spin-off series.)
✔️ Cozy, tea-infused romance vibes. A love story that makes you want to curl up with a cup of something warm and believe in fate.
✔️ The audiobook experience is so good you’ll feel like you’re in the rom-com.
❌ What I Wanted More Of:
- The curse resolution felt a bit rushed. Give me one more dramatic moment before everything wraps up!
- Vin’s brother needed a little more closure. I felt for him, and I wanted one final moment to tie up his storyline.
